Happy Engineer's Day-2022
The topic "Engineering for Change" has been chosen by the Council of the Institution to commemorate this year's 55th Engineers' Day, which will be observed across the nation. The biggest issue facing engineers in a developing India is "change."
In honour of one of the greatest Indian engineers, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, Engineers Day is observed annually on September 15 in India. It is also observed in Tanzania and Sri Lanka. In the village of Muddenahalli in the Kingdom of Mysore, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a scholar, statesman, educationist, and the most renowned engineer in India, was born 158 years ago today (now in Karnataka).
