Kolkata Knight Riders got their Indian Premier League campaign off to a dismal start, as they succumbed to a 49-run loss to defending champions Mumbai Indians.

And last youngster Shubman Gill got the chance to open the innings for the Knights. But Gill, the emerging player of the 2019 edition, failed to give KKR the start they needed, as he was dismissed for just 7 off 11.

Though on the field the Knight Riders had an off day, Gill caught someone's attention with his fielding skills. There have been a lot of rumours doing the rounds about Gill dating legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's daughter, Sara Tendulkar. And adding fuel to fire, Sara, shared a picture of Gill's superb fielding effort during their game against MI. Though Sara didn't write anything, she added the heart reaction to the image and shared it as her story on the social media site.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Shubman Gill is currently in the UAE where he is plying his trade in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Shubman is a key member of the KKR batting line-up and has been opening the innings for his side in IPL 2020. While he did not have a good day with the bat in KKR's opening game of the season against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, Shubman was sublime on the field.

Impressed by one of his fielding efforts, India legend Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara Tendulkar shared a picture of Shubman in her Instagram story with a couple of heart emojis. The post from Sara has gone viral on social media with fans once again speculating about dating rumours between her and the KKR star. 

Sara and Shubman are rumoured to be dating each other for a while now and the 22-year-old has on several occasions, reacted to the KKR batsman's posts on Instagram. Check out her latest post for Shubman.
