Raksha bandhan 2021
Raksh bndhn or Rakhi is a Hidnu festival. It is celebrated by brothers and sisters. On this occation sister tie a rakhi (thread) on her brother's wrist and pray for his prosperous life. As per Hindu calender Rakhi celebrated in Shravan month during purnima or full of moon day. This year Rakhi festival celebrated on Sunday, 22 August.
The Lord Krishna had accidnetly cut his finger with the Suhrhana Chakra. The pandavas wife draupai, felt a lot of pain seeing him hurt and she immediatelly tore a pice of the vastra and tied to Lord Krishna's bleeding finger to help soothe his pain and stop the bloo from flowing.
Lord Krihna at time promised to take care of her from evils in the world. He called it the "Rakha Sutra".
